Grow TOGETHER in Community Groups & D-Groups
At FBC Ocala we believe that spiritual growth is important. For that reason, we challenge every person to belong to a Community Group. In a Community Group you will discover an environment where you will feel welcomed and accepted, encounter Christ and His Word, and Grow Together.
Grow Together in Community
Our discipleship pathway is to know God, grow together, and change the world. We GROW TOGETHER within the context of community groups and d-groups. In community groups you will discover an environment where you feel welcomed as you encounter Christ and His word while you grow as a disciple. Our groups meet on campus and off on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, or mid-week. D-groups are an additional way to grow as a disciple of Jesus. D-groups are gender specific groups of 3-5 active believers who meet together regularly for the purpose of growing in Christlikeness. It is our prayer that you would find fullness of life in Christ and a place where you can grow in Him in community here at FBC. If you are interested in more information about any of our community groups or D-groups, please click the links below and we will get you started on the journey!
Women’s Ministry is another way to connect and grow together at First Baptist Church. FBC women meet regularly in community groups and d-groups. One way we serve women in our community is through our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) program that meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. For more information about Women’s Ministry or MOPS, please click below.
Young at Heart
Young at Heart exists to provide our adults, age 60 and older, with opportunities for leadership and service in our church and the local community and to involve adults in this age group in outreach and mission ministries. If you would like more information about our Young at Heart ministry, please click below.
Use what’s in you to bless the world around you. Perspectives is a 15-week course designed to mobilize the church to God’s mission. We’ll discover God’s heart and purpose for all mankind, and take a look at the biblical, historical, cultural and strategic aspects of God’s global purpose.

“Serving Parents. Strengthening Families.”
Welcome to the NextGen Ministry of FBC Ocala! This is where you will find details about all NextGen ministries, birth through college.
NextGen Ministry is a strategic discipleship initiative for children and students. This ministry exists to equip parents to fulfill their role of being the primary disciplers of their children. Our prayer is that this would be accomplished through both investing and equipping: investing in children and students through intentional relationships and strategic teaching, while equipping parents to train their children to live a Christ-honoring, God-glorifying life.
Our primary goal within the NextGen Ministry is to partner with families to develop worshippers who are fully devoted to Christ and His Church. Our prayer is that the children and students who come through our NextGen Ministry will be passionate, sacrificial, and missional worshippers of Jesus Christ.
We believe that we are created to worship — not the created, but the Creator. We seek to teach our students that in a world full of distraction and pursuit of self, only Christ can truly satisfy and is worthy of a lifetime of worship.
We accomplish this by providing Christ-honoring and gospel-centered opportunities for students to:
Know God through His Word in corporate worship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at The SIX.
Grow Together through Sunday morning community groups and in small discussion groups (SIX Groups) on Wednesday evenings.
Change the World through love and service by providing regular missions opportunities.
Community Groups: Sundays at 9:15 AM
The SIX: Wednesdays at 6 PM
College Community Group: Thursdays at 7 PM
Preschool & Kids
The primary purpose of our NextGen Preschool and Kids Ministry is to partner with parents to lay a biblical foundation of salvation and a lifetime of growth in Jesus Christ. Our desire is for our children to:
Know God by worshipping together on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at Charged. We model worship in the following four ways: learning His Word, singing together, giving, and prayer.
Grow Together in Sunday morning community groups and Wednesday night discipleship groups.
Change the World by emphasizing missions weekly in Kids Worship and providing missions opportunities in our activities throughout the year.
Community Groups: Sundays at 9:15 AM
Kids Worship: Sundays at 10:30 AM
Charged: Wednesdays at 6 PM
