Bible Studies for Women

Small Group Bible Studies for Women

Studying God's Word together is one of the great privileges we have access to.  Several opportunities exist during the week to join women in studying God's Word either in a general or topical study.

On Wednesday evenings, there will be childcare and activities for infant through middle school children - no preregistration required.

Currently studying Resilient Faith by Mary Jo Sharp
For so many Christians in the American culture, faith is an easy thing. They go to church, they read the Bible, and they love Jesus.  But what happens when their comfortable world is turned upside down? For too many people, their faith is shaken. Faith in Christ can-and should be-constant, because Christ, the One in whom we place our faith, is constant. We all face-or will face-difficult time when we need to stand firm in our Christ-centered faith. The book of 1 Peter offers the needed understanding of what a resilient faith looks like and how we can stand strong regardless of what comes at us.

Bible Study Fellowship (BSF)
Thursday Mornings | 9:15 - 11:15 am | Choir Room | Leader: Karen McGinnis | Dates: Ongoing | No Cost

Entrusted by Beth Moore
Wednesdays 6:00-7:15pm beginning 6/14

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret.  God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves.

In this 6-session Bible study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy.  Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.

Start Your Own Small Group
As believers, we are all called to make disciples. Maybe it’s time for you to consider starting a small group in your home, neighborhood, workplace or wherever works best for your schedule.  If you would like a DVD or book based study, a vast assortment of great studies now exist. Just be wise in whom you trust. Lifeway.com is a good place to start.

Another really great way to study the Bible is to pick a passage, read it several times or tell the
passage like a story. Then ask the three questions of the text:

What does this tell me about God?
What does this tell me about people?
What changes should I make?

If you would like more information on the “storying” method, please contact our Church Office.

Do you have a study suggestion? We would love to hear from your on where God is leading you to learn more about him.  Send your thoughts to shae@fbcocala.org
