As a parent, you are interested in your child developing a strong Biblical foundation. In our Sunday School ministry, a child will go through the Bible four times by the time they complete our curriculum in grade 6. Raising children to be spiritual champions is no easy task. Our desire is to come along side you and help you to make this possible. Below is the scope of our Sunday School curriculum and the learning goals for each division beginning with babies through the sixth grade.

Bible Knowledge & Life Response:
* To help the child begin to associate God and Jesus with loving people and enjoyable activities; to develop an awareness of the name of Jesus and associate Him with being loved; to feel secure and loved at church by having physical and emotional needs met by caring adults.
* To assists parents in guiding their child's spiritual development

Bible Skills:
By the time a child has completed the Mover's & Shaker's curriculum, he or she should be able to:
* Tell that the stories in the Bible are true.
* Tell that the Bible is God's news to us.
* Recognize by sight Bible words such as Jesus and God.
* Listen with understanding to Bible stories and verses.
* Tell that God gave the Bible to help us learn about His love and His plan to send His son, Jesus.
* Name everyday actions that show obedience to Bible verses.
*State in his or her own words Bible truths about ways to love and obey God
Bible Knowledge & Life Response:
To help the child:
* Know that God loves and cares for us; that God sent Jesus to show His love for us; that God's Word helps us learn about the greatness and goodness of God and the Lord Jesus.
* Respond by demonstrating love for God through kindness, helpfulness and thankfulness; by talking to God in prayer

Bible Skills:
By the time a child has completed the PrimeTime curriculum, he or she should be able to:
* Locate Bible references by becoming familiar with the placement of major Old and New Testament books.
* Identify key words and names in Bible verses.
* Describe actions of main characters in Bible story.
* Name the first five books of the Old Testament.
* Name the first four books of the New Testament.
* Memorize selected Bible verses and recall familiar verses when used in meaningful settings
Bible Knowledge & Life Response:
To help the child:
* Know that God loves and cares for us; that God wants our trust and obedience.
* Respond by trusting Jesus as Savior; by thanking, serving, trusting and praising God; by believing God's promises and obeying His commands

Bible Skills:
By the time the student has completed the Network 34 curriculum, he or she should be able to:
* Name the books of the Bible.
* Develop ability to locate Bible references.
* Use a children's Bible reference book.
* Identify the basic theme content of all Bible book divisions.
* Complete the Bible Memory Plan
Bible Knowledge & Life Response:
To help the child:
* Know that God loves and helps us and has a plan for our lives; that God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, to be our Savior.
* Respond by trusting Jesus as Savior; by choosing ways to show love for God and obedience to His Word; by telling others about Jesus.

Bible Skills:
By the time the student has completed the Edge curriculum, he or she should be able to:
* Implement basic inductive Bible study skills.
* Find information in a concordance, Bible atlas, Bible dictionary and cross-reference Bible.
* Identify the basic theme content of selected books of the Bible.
* Complete the Bible Memory Plan.
* Develop personal Bible study skills
Bible Knowledge & Life Response:
To help the student:
* Know that God wants us to trust, love and obey Him; that God can help us grow in Christian maturity.
* Respond by trusting Jesus as Savior; by serving Jesus in his or her own church; by demonstrating attitudes and actions that reflect love for Jesus. |
