S.W.A.R.M.
Service With A Real Message

Who says kids should be seen and not heard? FBC Kids are an active part of the body serving Christ. Here's some ways 3rd through 6th graders can get involved!

Tech Team:
The Tech Team will learn to:
  • Work lights and sound systems in Worship Center, Fellowship Hall and Youth Room.
  • Use PowerPoint and computer systems
  • Take part in Children's Church productions.
  • Take part in productions.
  • Work video cameras and IMAG (what in the world is IMAG?)
  • Work fog machines and other special effects.
Tech team will need to receive emails each week of Worship Outline and Rotation Schedule.
Worship Team:
Worship Team responsibilities include:
  • Lead singing in AWANA, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, Camps, Clubs and other worship areas.
  • Learn and create hand motions for new music to teach to kids and other worship leaders.
  • Lead in prayer during worship.
  • Assist Children's Ministry staff during worship.
  • Assist younger kids in following Bible Study and music during worship.
Worship team will need to attend occasional rehearsals and receive email on a weekly basis.

GO Team:
This is great for shy folks. We need "behind the scenes" people to make ministry happen.

  • Send cards, letters, and other mailouts on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Welcome kids to church each week in AWANA, Kings Kids or Kid Connection.
  • Make phone calls to kids who have been missing in action for a few weeks. Let them know we miss them!
  • Assist Children's Ministry staff with special events.
GO Team will need to receive emails each week.
Puppet Team:
Goofy folks that want to hide behind a puppet are wanted here! Puppet teams will:
  • Work puppets during worship services.
  • Help write puppet scripts.
  • Provide training for new puppet recruits!
  • Provide puppet shows for preschool and Children's Ministry onsite and off.
Puppet teams will need to attend rehearsals occasionally and be able to receive emails with script attachments on a weekly basis.
Design Team:
Do you have a famous artist trapped inside SCREAMING to get out? Design Teams responsibilities include:
  • Assist with designs/decoration needed for worship and theme units.
  • Assist with design decoration for Vacation Bible School and camps.
  • Design/decorate sets needed for drama and worship.
  • Assist with sets during production in church.
Design team is great for the entire family! Moms and Dads can get involved together.
Drama Team:
Divas and Divos... this is for you! The Drama Team responsibilities include:
  • Create scripts for Dramas.
  • Act out dramas needed for worship each week.
  • Assist design team in providing information for set designs.
  • Contact other Drama team members with rehearsal information.
  • Act out dramas for Vacation Bible School, Camps, Preschool and Children's Ministries.
  • Assist Children's Ministry staff and children during worship services.
Drama team will need to receive emails on a weekly basis with script attachments and rotation schedules.

SWARM Leadership Requirements:
James 1:22 tells us we should be "doers of the Word, not hearers only." Want to dive in? All SWARM team members will need to meet the following requirements.

  • Team Members must be in at least third grade.
  • Must be actively involved in at least one Bible
    Study group at FBC including AWANA, Kid
    Connection, or Sunday Morning Bible Study.
  • Must attend initial training session before service
    Can begin in any area.
  • Must attend rehearsals, meetings, and trainings as
    Scheduled and needed.
  • Must provide Children’s Ministry with completed SWARM registration with parent signature.
  • Must take direction well from others.
  • Must lead others with a positive attitude
