Our ministry with the deaf and hearing impaired of our community continues to grow! FBC Ocala’s ministry with the deaf and hearing impaired includes:

• A Sunday morning Bible Study class for deaf adults that meets at 9 am led by a very qualified and knowledgeable deaf man (Stephen Rhodes)
• ASL Interpreted worship service at 10:30 am each Sunday
• Special services, dramas, musicals, etc. interpreted
• Special studies for the deaf (in homes)
• Regular fellowship opportunities (meals, trips, involvement with the Florida Baptist Conference of the Deaf, etc.)
• Regular American Sign Language classes offered (most often taught by a deaf person)
• We will try to meet the needs of deaf children & youth in regular Sunday School classes with their hearing peers (we will provide an interpreter whenever possible)
• We have a pastor on staff who signs & helps give leadership to this ministry and is available for counseling the deaf & ministering to them.
